Ezpeleta: 15 Million Euros For Each Team MotoGP
MADRID - Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta to budget every MotoGP team no more than 15 million euros (Rp182 billion) per season. This figure, according to Ezpeleta, beyond the allocation of salary and promotion purposes racer.Honda is currently a team with the largest expenditure in the other MotoGP teams ie 40 million euros (Rp487 billion). Ezpeleta not happy with that number.
"The limit for each team should have 15 million euros, not including salaries for drivers and marketing," said Ezpeleta told the U.S., told Crash, Saturday (31/3).
"What is unacceptable is the Honda currently spend 40 million euros each year," said Ezpeleta.
If the restriction is successful digolkan expenditure, it is not impossible that the German auto giant BMW will soon join the MotoGP. Currently, there are three manufacturers who compete in the MotoGP Honda, Yamaha, and Ducati.
In addition about the budget, Ezpeleta also proposed rules about the number of teams. Ezpeleta wants every manufacturer should not be more than two official teams and two satellite team. The end of May 2012 be the deadline for changes to this rule.
MotoGP season in Qatar will be opened on 8 April.
